MDAID medical mission team delivered free eye health exams and 7000 pairs of eyeglasses

Upon an invitation from MEK residents of Ashraf-3, MDAID Foundation, a U.S. based organization headed by Professor Firouz Daneshgari, along with 15 US doctors and specialists accomplished a large humanitarian medical mission in Albania during December 2-6, 2022. MDAID doctors performed eye health exams and delivered 7000 pairs of free eyeglasses to residents of Tirana, Duress, Kukes and Manez with cooperation of Ashraf3 residents and in coordination with the municipalities of the cities mentioned. In addition, screening and medical consults for detection of diabetes and anemia among those visited were conducted. MDAID Foundation in collaboration with residents of Ashraf 3 had sponsored and delivered two other major humanitarian medical missions in 2018 and 2019. During those missions, over 12000, and 6000 eye health exams were conducted and delivered corresponding number of reading glasses free of any charges to Albanian Citizens.
