Establish a Walk-in Health Clinic
Help us build the first health clinic in Albania to support the local residents. Our current fundraising goal is between $75,000-100,000. We are looking for individual or corporate donors.

Urgent Need for Cancer Chemotherapy Drug
We are working on an urgent campaign for age 61 year old man who has been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer last week (multiple myeloma). The treatment of choice is bone marrow transplantation that is not available in Albania, so they are starting him on an old chemotherapy agent as the most current one is also not available in Albania.
The current medication is called Velarde (Bortezomib- 3.5 mg) that is manufactured by Takeda/Milennium pharmaceutical (866-835-2233). The retail for each vial is $1620.

Dozens of Paraplegics exist among refugees who lack the special requirements necessary for adequate living such as electric wheelchairs, adaptive beds and toilets, mobility equipment and trained therapists. Many refugees and Albanian citizens are willing to serve as medical assistants for a modest $590/month (500 Euros).

There are 31 individuals among refugees who need prosthetics, either for one or two limbs, above or below the knee, etc. There are no facilities in Albania that build artificial limbs. The total cost for needed limbs is $177,137.

The prevalence of eye problems among refugees is very high due to harsh living conditions. Setting up an ophthalmology clinic appears to be a very cost-efficient means of managing this problem. The resources needed vary with total costs averaging about $142,981.
